Brookwood Students

Welcome to the student ministry at Brookwood Baptist Church.  Brookwood Students seeks to partner challenge and minister to students enrolled in the surrounding middle and high schools (grades 6-12) and partner with parents to help raise students who will make an eternal Kingdom impact.

Mission Statement

To be and to make life-long followers of Jesus Christ.

Brookwood Students exists for the sole purpose of being and making life-long followers of Jesus Christ.  Every area of the ministry strives to create, grow and reinforce this singular purpose.  Brookwood Baptist has a calendar full of regular events such as Wednesday night student worship, which includes a student worship band, fellowship, sound biblical teaching, games and of course, fellowship.  In addition, Brookwood Students has annual events such as summer camps, Disciple Now Weekend and Ski Trips among others.

Purpose

While 86% of all statistics are made up (think about it), the latest numbers suggest that by the time a student completes their first year of college, roughly 2/3 of them will have left organized church fellowship and possibly never return to the body of Christ again. It is only through fellowship with other believers that we can continue to grow in unity, be encouraged in our walk with Christ, and are sharpened in our understanding and service of God. Therefore, we must not just settle for a relationship with Jesus Christ, although this is a great thing, but also to be and make life-long followers of Jesus Christ. At Brookwood Students, we strive to challenge and guide these followers to a life of faithfulness and fruitfulness that results from a life completely devoted to Jesus Christ.

Brookwood Students strives to train and equip our adult leadership to provide a safe environment for students and to give students an opportunity to build relationships with mature believers who are capable of answering their spiritual questions.  From the time a student enters the youth group in the 6th grade, to the time they come out on the other side, 12th grade, we focus on equipping them to take ownership of their faith, to live it out daily, and to impact their schools, communities, and friends for the purpose of Jesus Christ.
