Scott Copeland
Worship Pastor
Scott is relatively new to Brookwood, having moved here recently to become the worship pastor. He is greatly enjoying getting to know the church and its people and leading them in worship on a weekly basis. He is very excited about seeing how God is working through the church to reach its community and bring honor to God.
Scott is originally from northeast Florida, but has traveled and lived all around the United States. He served for two years with a music and drama team traveling the U.S., and has worked for the Centrifuge summer camps for 5 summers. Scott graduated from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL, with a degree in Chemistry. It was there that God confirmed Scott's call to use music in ministry and that led Scott to pursue a music degree. Scott graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 1999, with a Master of Music degree.
Following his graduation from seminary, Scott moved to Nashville, TN, to check out the music scene. Although he never "made it big," Scott did meet Carmen, his wife of 6 years. Currently, they live with their two amazing and equally perplexing dogs. Oh...and a cat.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys small, shiny objects and listening to Dean be "funny." He also enjoys lifting weights, running, reading, politics and college football. He can often be found "discussing" calls with referees on any given Saturday during the fall. Scott loves just about any type of music......as long as it's performed well. He also enjoys performing with other musicians and simply using his talents to honor God.
