It is our desire that God would find us faithful and diligent in prayer. We want to foster a consistent habit of prayer with our individual members, and we also want to grow in how we pray as a group of believers. We believe God hears prayer and responds to our faith as expressed in prayer by moving in the lives and situations we are praying about.
There are 3 ways and times you can join us in our prayer effort:
1) Wednesday evening small group prayer / 6:30-8:00pm / Trailer E101
2) Sunday morning prayer ministry that is composed of several rotating teams that take turns praying on Sunday mornings during the worship service. / Conference Room located in the Church Office.
3) Prayer Force, a new large-group prayer effort that gathers the entire church in corporate prayer. See the description below...
What IS Prayer Force?
Prayer Force...
is the gathering of the entire church at a specific time and place to lift our voices in collective prayer to courageously and boldly ask God to address the needs and concerns of our lives.
Prayer Force...
is the entire church having the audacity to believe Jesus when he said:
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Luke 11:9-10)
Prayer Force...
is the entire church making a commitment to pray for every need that people ask us to pray for, even when they don't have the faith or strength to pray themselves.
Prayer Force...
is the entire church praying NOT because it's popular, easy, trendy, effective, wise, or because we're supposed to, but because we WANT to. We WANT to be in the presence of God. It is not a chore, but a pleasure.
Prayer Force...
is the entire church aggressively engaging in spiritual warfare against our enemy by praying against him and for the destruction of the strongholds he has on people's lives.
"The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray."
(Samuel Chadwick)
Prayer Force...
is gathering to do battle on Sunday Nights from 6:00-7:15pm....
Starting again in 2010 / Stay tuned for more details.
"You have not, because you ask not."
(James 4:2)
