Key Verse: Colossians 1:10 says "And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God"
Purpose Statement: We exist for the purpose of praising God and serving Him by teaching women that they are worthy of God's love and grace, and out of the overflow of that grace, we will love and serve our community together.
We currently have two monthly "fellowship rings" that meet for a time of fun and fellowship. One meets on the first Thursday evening and the other on the second Tuesday evening of each month.
This year, we have a spring and a fall retreat planned. In April, we will attend the EWomen’s Conference in
One of the joys of our women’s ministry is our service to our community. We are hosting a baby shower for the Crisis Pregnancy Resource Center in Gwinnett County, helping with a free Medical-Dental Clinic at our church in July, visiting local assisted living facilities, and taking a week in June to do specific ministry projects in our area.
We offer several different Bible studies in the winter, spring and fall each year designed to teach women how to apply Scripture to their daily lives. Check out our current newsletter to get info on current and upcoming studies.
This year we are excited about offering some seminars on issues that women face. “Stretching Your Dollar,” “Helping Your Child Succeed In School,” and “Women’s Health Issues for Today” are just a few of the topics we will cover this year. We want to serve the women in our area no matter what age they are or what interest they may have.
Crafts are a real interest among women, and we have some Friday Craft Nights during the year that you may want to attend. Just bring your current craft project, and come fellowship with other crafters. You may even learn something new! Near the holiday season, we hold an event that involves crafts - either as a demonstration or a hands-on make-and-take. It’s always in the “nick of time” for the Christmas season!
