Our Vision

To become a vibrant, creative, outreach-oriented fellowship of Christ-followers who are healthy and obedient in all areas of Christian discipleship and service.

As we focus, as individuals and as a congregation, on being healthy and obedient we believe God will measure us in 8 key areas. So our strategy for growing in these 8 areas is what we call the...

Brookwood LEAP of Faith

We will be a church that.......

L..........LOVES
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." (Matt. 22:37,39)

Jesus told us that what matters to Him most, is how we love. So in everything we do, we're going to strive to do it with a genuine heartfelt love for others; a kind of love that only He can give and only His followers can demonstrate.

L..........LEADS
"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (Matt. 5:16)

We will take our responsibility to be salt and light in our world seriously and will develop and train people to be true leaders in their homes, workplace, and communities. Leadership is not something that comes natural. It's learned and developed. And we've made a commitment to do both in order to make God's church as effective as it can be in reaching people with the saving grace of Jesus.

E..........EVANGELIZES
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:19-20)

We will be faithful to the commission that Christ gave all His followers to tell people, both locally and globally, about the good news of His grace and gift of eternal life.

E..........EDUCATES
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Tim. 3:16)

We believe that God's Word, the Bible, is sufficient to give us clear direction about how we are to live and contains all the necessary wisdom we need to deal the questions and concerns of life. Our goal is to teach people how to read and learn from God's Word themselves in such as way that they are able to gain strength and understanding from it as they live out their lives.

A..........ASSISTS
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." (1 Pet. 4:10)

We believe God has given each person unique gifts and abilities that, when used properly, can enrich and bless the lives of others, especially when people are going through difficult times and need a caring hand. We will actively try to bring comfort and resources to people when they need it the most.

A..........ASSIMILATES
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Heb. 10:25)

We believe from Scripture that God intended that every individual follower of Jesus would grow in their relationship with Jesus within a larger fellowship of believers. We will strive to help each and every person discover and fulfill their role within the local church so that others will be blessed by their life, and they themselves will be enriched by the wisdom and friendship of fellow believers.

P...........PRAYS
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6)

Regardless of what some people believe, prayer is not hard. It's a simple conversation with God and it's a conversation He wants to have with us more often than we realize. We have decided to make a strong and deep commitment to helping our people learn to pray. We believe that when people pray, their lives will be enriched, their troubles will be lessened, and God will respond and move in the lives of the people they're praying for.

P...........PRAISES
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess His name." (Heb. 13:15)

We will strive with all our being to praise God with sincere hearts for all that He is, and all that He's done. We will sing and worship Him enthusiastically when we gather together and we will obey Him diligently as we live out our lives as individuals.
